Freedom Mortgage Wins Global Award for Excellence in BPM & Workflow

Mount Laurel, NJ – October 27, 2014 – Freedom Mortgage Corporation, a privately held, full-service residential mortgage lender licensed in all 50 states, was named winner of the prestigious 2014 Global Award for Excellence in BPM & Workflow for its business process management technology. Jointly sponsored by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) and BPM.Com, the 2014 Global Excellence Awards focus specifically on process innovation and operational excellence within organizations involved with banking, finance and insurance. The awards ceremony took place at the Doubletree Hotel Chicago on September 30, 2014.

Freedom Mortgage was specifically recognized for its automated workflow surrounding the title insurance process, involving members of the title department, loan closers, mortgage applicants, title insurance providers and Freedom Mortgage's management team. The speed of the title process was increased by 51 percent, with a 52 percent reduction of employees needed to complete the process.

The award submissions were evaluated by a panel of judges using 15 distinct factors within the categories of innovation, implementation or impact to demonstrate excellence in BPM.

This was an impressive win by our BPM team, said Robert D'Urbano, Freedom Mortgage's Chief Information Officer. Not only did they do a great job in creating substantial time and cost savings to make Freedom Mortgage more competitive, they were up against stiff competition for one of the several awards. They produced a winning case study that will be featured in BPM publications read by business professionals worldwide, he said.
